The First Bethune Hospital of Jilin University in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, on April 15 sent a medical team of 11 members to Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- a major land port of entry -- to help it fight the novel coronavirus epidemic, according to local reports.
Officials said that the medical team included four doctors, one nurse and six laboratory and genetic diagnosis technicians. The team also has six Party members and they set up a temporary Party branch before departure.
Bao Wanguo, leader of the medical team, said that they would complete their mission and return safely.
The hospital has previously sent seven groups, 214 people in all, to help treat patients in Central China's Hubei province.
