The year 2020 is being seen as the decisive year for poverty alleviation in China and poverty alleviation was also a focus during this year's "two sessions" -- the third session of the 13th National People's Congress and the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference -- held from May 21 to 28, according to officials.

During the sessions, Jilin International Studies University in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, held a comics exhibition themed on poverty alleviation, showcasing more than 60 works created by its students.

University officials said that 19 works were singled out by media including sina.com.cn and others.
