A young students and teachers training plan launched by Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in Changchun -- capital of Northeast China's Jilin province -- recently received the attention of the media.
The plan, named the Xinglin Qingma project, was launched by the university in 2016 -- aiming to cultivate students with traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and Marxist theory.
University officials said that it was then joined by young teachers at the university.
They said the project is an important pathway for cultivating young students and teachers, as well as implementing the university's all-round education plan.
Following more than three years of development, the building that houses the project now covers an area of more than 1,100 square meters.
The facilities come equipped with classrooms, a library, a resource center, a private study room, a cultural salon room, a VR training room and a movie viewing room.
The facilities boast over 25,000 books, more than 2,000 audiovisual materials and nearly 100 revolutionary VR educational resources.
Each year, around 100 outstanding freshmen are selected to join the project and receive professional training for two years.
In addition, more than 400 young teachers have participated in the project, officials said.
Through learning and practice, they exchange ideas with young students and grow together with them.
