The first electronic business license for sino-foreign joint ventures was issued by the Changchun market supervision administration in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, marking another step forward in allowing enterprises to register electronically, according to local media reports.

An electronic business license is a legal electronic certificate containing registration information of market entities. It is issued by the market supervision departments in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, and in accordance with unified standards and regulations, and has the same legal effect as a paper business license.

Market entities can apply online by clicking "Electronic Business License" on the official mobile app of the State Council.
