Jilin province posts GDP of 954b yuan in Q1-3

Northeast China's Jilin province reported gross domestic product (GDP) of 953.66 billion yuan ($149.44 billion) in the first three quarters of 2021, a year-on-year growth of 7.8 percent, according to statistics released by the Jilin Statistics Bureau.

The added value of the primary industry was 70.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent; the added value of the secondary industry was 348.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.0 percent; while the added value of the tertiary industry was 534.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.6 percent.

During the three-month period, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 142.27 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2 percent, meaning the growth rate has remained above 7 percent for three consecutive quarters.

The value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.1 percent year-on-year, meaning the two-year average growth rate also stands at 6.1 percent.

The added value of the service industry accounted for 56.1 percent of the province's regional GDP.

In the first three quarters, investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased 13.8 percent year-on-year, putting the two-year average growth rate at 11.3 percent. Private investment increased by 13.1 percent year-on-year, putting the two-year average growth rate at 11.4 percent.
