Jilin University in Northeast China's Jilin province hosted an autumn recruitment fair on Nov 10, and is offering a housing allowance of up to 500,000 yuan ($78,091), according to local media reports. 

There are 86 companies participating in the fair, including China FAW Group, FAW Jiefang and FAW Besturn, and industries mainly include manufacturing, construction, finance, scientific research and technical services, real estate, information transmission, software and information technology services.

In order to attract graduates, many companies are providing higher benefits.

For PhD graduates hired by FAW Jiefang, in addition to the annual salary of more than 350,000 yuan, there will also be a one-time housing allowance of 500,000 yuan (after tax). Master degree holders and undergraduates will also receive similarly generous treatment.

In 2022, Jilin University is to have a total of 18,758 graduates from 32 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. These graduates receive degrees in 12 areas, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, and history.

Since September this year, the school has held more than 800 campus-specific job fairs, providing more than 210,000 job opportunities. To date, it has carried out 21 grassroots selection projects.
