The film appraisal work for the Golden Deer Award officially begins as the 16th Changchun Film Festival opens to great fanfare on Dec 21 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province. The most prestigious award at the Changchun Film Festival is the Golden Deer Award, which has 10 categories – including Best Film, Jury Award, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Screenplay.
