The fourth Changbai Mountain Powder Snow Festival and the 16th Changbai Mountain Snow Culture Tourism Festival kicked off at Changbai Mountain in Northeast China's Jilin province on Dec 27.

This year's powder snow season will host more than 40 activities including ice and snow tourism, ice and snow sports, and ice and snow culture.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics torch was showcased at the opening ceremony of the festival. Several tourism projects were also signed on the same day.

More than 200 tourism experts, travel agents, investors, and media representatives attended the ceremony.

Changbai Mountain boasts one of the world's best-quality ice and snow resources, and is known as one of the world's top three powder snow caps along with the Alps and the Rocky Mountains.

In recent years, it has been renowned as an area with potential for ice and snow tourism investment, China's best ice and snow tourism destination, and the most beautiful snow mountain in China.

With the establishment of a complete transportation system including an expressway, a high-speed railway, and an airport, Changbai Mountain will become an ideal tourist destination for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
