Jilin province boosts economic, trade cooperation platform
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Jilin branch plans to further develop a first-rate economic, trade and cooperation platform in the current year, according to local media reports.
Efforts in Northeast China's Jilin province will be carried out focusing on four areas: trade and investment promotions, commercial legal services, promoting the development of the exhibition industry and bolstering the work of the International Chamber of Commerce.
In terms of trade and investment promotions, plans are for the Jilin branch to expand international open cooperation. A series of activities for the business associations of countries involved in the "Belt and Road" will be held in the province, while the active role of multinational companies in promoting the opening of Jilin will be brought into play.
The Jilin branch will actively promote the commercial certification of various businesses in the wake of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) taking effect this year. Moreover, it will promote an online visa model, helping with the construction of the Changchun Smart Legal District.
In terms of promoting the development of the exhibitions sector, Jilin is scheduled to host the 2022 Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Fair, the fifth Northeast Asia Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Care Industry Expo, as well as the 14th China-Northeast Asia Expo.
In addition, the Jilin branch is set to promote Enterprise Service Week activities, to help small and medium-sized enterprises that are recognized as being "professional, sophisticated, distinctive and modern" to expand into the international market.
