International agricultural expo kicks off in Jilin province

The 21st China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Fair Expo (or CCIAFF) opened in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, on Aug 18, bringing together agricultural products, advanced equipment, and new technology, according to local media reports.

Launched in 2000, the government-led expo has been held 20 times and has become a key event in China's agricultural sector.

This year's CCIAFF offers both online and offline opportunities, and has 32 exhibitions and sessions for brand exhibitions, facilities and equipment, industry demonstrations and science education, as well as economic events and trade forums.

Agricultural products, the latest equipment, new technology, various foods, light industrial products and folk cultural items are currently on show – and there are also displays on the achievements of rural vitalization.

The expo also highlights agricultural scientific and technological innovation, demonstrating achievements in the areas of agricultural modernization, informatization and the integration of agricultural product processing.
