Masses of migratory birds roost at Momoge Wetland
Tens of thousands of migratory birds are now roosting at the Momoge National Nature Reserve – in Zhenlai county, Northeast China's Jilin province – after having flown in from afar. Located on the borders of Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces and North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Momoge is an important habitat in the country. All kinds of birds – including white cranes, red-crown cranes, grey cranes, demoiselle cranes and oriental white storks – visit there every spring and autumn.
