Huadian ice, snow culture festival opens in Jilin
The fifth Huadian Zhaodajishan Ice and Snow Culture Festival opens to great fanfare on Jan 12 in the city of Huadian – which is administered by the prefecture-level city of Jilin, in Northeast China's Jilin province. The festival opened in Huadian's Badaohezi town, which is located in the remaining range of the Changbai Mountains. Tourists enjoy local delicacies at the ice and snow culture festival, on Jan 12. Huadian has successfully held four consecutive ice and snow culture festivals, as well as 17 birch festivals.
