FAW Tooling Die Manufacturing Co, a subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant FAW Group Co, celebrated its 70th anniversary on July 20 in Changchun, capital of Jilin province.

Over 500 domestic and international guests, employees and their families attended the event.

Known as the "mother of industry," the molds produced by the FAW unit are regarded as being fundamental to auto manufacturing.

FAW Tooling Die has been a witness, builder and contributor to the rise of China's automotive industry. Over 70 years, the company has grown from producing molds for the first domestic truck to developing high-end customized molds. It led the industry by conducting the first white body test weld and has become a provider of comprehensive solutions and intelligent equipment services.

From its initial role in domestic car body mold production to being the first to export automotive molds, FAW Tooling Die has expanded its client base from within FAW Group to a global scale – with the company said to have consistently driven innovation and excellence in its industry.
