The 2024 Changchun International Medicine and Health Industry Expo opened on Dec 7 at the Northeast Asia International Expo Center in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province.

The three-day event, themed on "New Quality Leads Health, Technology Shapes the Future", spans 50,000 square meters and has attracted 648 businesses, including 199 from global and national top 500 firms.

The expo highlights ethnic traditional Chinese medicines – including Tibetan, Mongolian and Korean remedies – alongside cutting-edge pharmaceutical achievements. Prestigious institutions like the Chinese Academy of Sciences and local universities are showcasing their advanced medical research.

Key events include the Changchun International Medicine and Health Development Conference and several trade and talent recruitment activities.

Most notably, over 5,000 job positions will be on offer – integrating online and offline platforms.

Meanwhile, a dedicated ginseng pavilion is emphasizing Jilin's rich heritage in the field – featuring innovative products like rare ginsenosides and culinary offerings, such as ginseng-inspired dishes. At the expo, eight new ginseng products have been unveiled.

Utilizing the platform, Changchun aims to strengthen its position as a strategic hub for the pharma and health industries.

The city plans to attract investments, foster talent and accelerate the formation of a world-class, specialized industrial cluster – driving the high-quality development of Jilin province.
