In the heart of Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone, a new cultural powerhouse is taking shape. The 473,000-square-meter second phase of the Changchun Film & Cultural Incubation Park is under construction with a massive investment of 4.06 billion yuan ($560.28 million).

Once completed, it will house China's largest vertical drop indoor ski slope, as well as Northeast China's first large-scale tropical rainforest dome, creating a one-stop hub for film production, snow sports, and family fun.

The indoor snow base features a 5,000-sq-m slope with four tracks, including beginner to advanced levels, boasting a vertical drop of 85 meters and a run length of 412 meters. It expects to host 3,000 visitors daily.

Complementing the indoor excitement, an outdoor civic center will offer courts, tracks, and karting, skateboarding, and parkour facilities.

Nearby, the development zone's cultural and creative park is also rising, with 3.34 billion yuan invested in 36 buildings, including an innovation center and performance venues. The park will blend culture, ecology, digital tech, and urban energy into a dynamic new destination.

Together, these projects represent a significant step in Changchun's efforts to establish itself as a regional hub of creative and cultural innovation.
