During the National Day holiday period (Oct 1-7), Baishan city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – received a total of 292,800 tourists, a huge year-on-year increase of 232.73 percent, according to local media reports.
During the holiday period, Changbai Mountains received a total of 66,700 tourists, a 97.92 percent rise on the previous year. That's in the wake of the north, west and south scenic spots of the Changbai Mountains, which have all been open to tourists.

During the National Day holiday, the Changbaishan High-speed Railway Station opened direct trains linking Changchun, Shenyang, Dalian, Beijing and other places.
