Wang Sibo, senior director of the Electric Motor Drive Development Department at the R&D center of auto giant China FAW Group has been awarded the 28th China Youth May Fourth Medal.

This is the latest in a run of accolades, which include being recognized as a young talent in central enterprises, receiving the Jilin Province Youth May Fourth Medal, being named one of Jilin Province's Top 10 Outstanding Youth and earning various awards for his contributions to technology and industry.

His team's innovations in high-power permanent magnet synchronous electric drive systems are widely said to have won FAW's electric vehicle lineup international recognition, with models like the Hongqi EHS9 making waves in European markets.
