Jilin city launches another 60 key projects

A total of 60 key projects recently started construction in Jilin city, Northeast China's Jilin province. Project construction in the city is once again in full swing.

The 60 projects, with a total investment of 18.9 billion yuan ($2.92 billion) and an annual planned investment of 4.8 billion yuan ($741.6 million), cover fine chemicals, medicine and health, new materials and other fields.

Among them, the construction project of an advanced power device packaging base for Sino-Microelectronics, China's top ten semiconductor supplier, signified that the enterprise will achieve leapfrog development and be among the advanced ranks of the domestic industry.

These new projects will provide stronger industrial support for Jilin city to double its total economic output during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period.

As of now, 321 projects, worth more than 50 million yuan ($7.73 million), have started or resumed construction across the city, a 47 percent increase year-on-year, with the total investment reaching 146.5 billion yuan ($22.63 billion), up 39 percent.
