As the peak of the project's construction, May saw the building of the Chagan Lake Ecological Town enter full swing.

Chagan Lake, as a featured local tourism brand, allows people to embrace natural and ecological beauty. The gift of nature enhances people's wisdom in protecting ecology, and the protection of ecology and the development of ecotourism mutually benefit each other. With this mind, Chagan Lake is progressing towards harmony, beauty, as well as prosperity.

The project aims to enable the development of Chagan Lake's eco-tourism, while keeping the functions of eating, lodging, traveling, shopping and entertainment at least 10 kilometers away from the scenic areas, in an effort to reduce the ecological and environmental risks brought by tourism, and to protect the lucid waters and lush mountains of Chagan Lake.

The Chagan Lake Ecological Town began construction in July 26, 2020. Since then, 13 projects of the ecological town have been under construction, with an investment of 880 million yuan ($135.96 million), and include a tourist center, a guest hall, a post office, a financial supermarket and a cultural and tourism international block.

Twenty-eight projects will be implemented this year, including 10 already under construction and 18 newly launched ones, with planned investment of 1.95 billion yuan. The town is expected to be put into operation before the winter fishing festival.
