A direct flight linking Tonghua in Northeast China's Jilin province and Qingdao in East China's Shandong province was officially launched on Oct 11, according to Jilin Daily.

The one-way journey takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete.

The opening of the new route has opened up a new development path for cultural exchange, economic and trade exchange, market interaction, and resource-sharing between the two cities.
